Parking at Southern Automotive

I'm posting this for Susan Parham...

--------------------------------
In reference to parking on Saturday, April 13th… needless to say, I feel that McDonough (better known as Mayberry to some members) is going to be quite overwhelmed with the turnout of Cobras on Saturday. Therefore, the entire Southern Automotive parking lot will be reserved for member’s cars. That’s right, Bill and Lewis will have to walk a block to get here also.

Because of the expected turnout, we feel the need to encourage participants to park their trailers and tow vehicles just a short walk away. Actually, the best deal would be to drive over from the hotel or park at the school and drive over. You can also pull through Southern Automotive and we will have people ready to help you unload and park your Cobra, then you can take your trailer to another area for parking. I assume that most people will load their cars after the Poker Run and get ready for a good time at the Holiday Inn.

If you want to park your Cobra at Southern Automotive Friday night, be sure to have a good car cover, otherwise you will be dusting pollen off your car while the rest of us are having our coffee. We will have off-duty police officers staying in the parking lot all night and security will not be a concern for you. If you plan to drive over on Saturday morning, PLEASE come early. I will have coffee and donuts ready at 7:00 AM.

One additional note… just like we can’t park all cars inside, we don’t have seating for 200 people either. You might want to bring a couple of folding chairs or take the risk of spilling your Brunswick stew!

Can’t wait to see everyone!

Susan (Ms. FE)
