As of now, I am planning on coming for the 3rd. Although I have never had my car on a road course (look out!). I still have some things to do to the car to get it ready. Mounting the slicks, putting in a crotch belt, and getting a helmet. Do you need a nomex suit?
Jason, are you going? JW, are you still cooking the pig? |
Dave-
Nomex not required for track time, required for racing. Helmet must be 95 or better, no cycle helmets. I'm told that all morning will be open track, early Afternoon will be the 100 mile race and then more open track. Should be a ton of fun. See you there Rick**) |
we're cookin' somethin but a pig might be a bit much for the three of us. email me your addresses with willis woerheide in the header so I can send invitationswith maps and directions.Rick,I plan on going to that fastech deal for some last minute adjustments.Glad you will be there. It's really just the three of us from this list, and a few of my buddies from racing, so I am not going to post a whole lot more here.
Rick, I'm bring a lot of guys with Porsches that are not as fAST AS YOU.... Dave, If you have to come a long way feel free to come for the 29-30 june fastech driver ed thing if you can make that. I can tell you will do good since you are thinking ofn things like submarine belts etc. It is the guys that don't care about that stuff that go out and screw up. This is like Gainsville with lots of grass to run off in, and you probably will not run off. Boy will this be great |
John, Dave, et. al.--
Glad you guys are coming to the FASTech event, it should be a lot of fun. I'm not fast, you guys have the power and experience--I'm just trying to stay out of everyone's way since I can only peddle to fast. Comfort inn is the place to stay, just say you are with the porsche group at Roebling and the rate is 40 or 45 a night. I'm bringing another guy, my instructor, so we will share my 944 and I will probably run my 996 as well so that we can both get max seat time. I haven't been on a track since May, sol I'm really Jonesi'n for some speed. See you there on the 29th. Rick |
