Glad to see that a few of the DSCC guys will be able to attend! As for me, well, I'll be running down Peachtree Street with about 55,000 other people on the 4th!
Y'all have fun! Keith :) |
I can smell the burning rubber now.
What a diverse group of rides-- it should be worth the price of admission just watching me trying to stay out of everyone's way. There is still time for you cobra guys to sign up. The open track ill give you plenty of opportunity to scream without the pressure of the race. Jerry- glad you will be making it, I hear that your car really screams with that new motor. rick :D |
Rick or Spyderman,
Will anyone be at the track Sunday. I have new slicks and would like to run them in, or should I just take it down the highway? Also, am I going to get busted at tech inspection if my signal lights are not working (brake lights work)? See you down there, Dave |
DAVE-
TURN SIGNALS NOT REQD. BUT BRAKE LIGHTS ARE. THE TRACK IS BEING USED ON SUNDAY BY THE FASTECH PORSCHE OWNER'S DRIVERS ED GROUP. YOU WON'T BE ALLOWED TO RUN UNLESS YOU SIGN UP, PAY THE $275 AND PASS TECH AND HAVE AN INSTRUCTOR CHECK YOU OUT. IF YOU DONT HAVE ROLL BAR PROTECTION FOR THE INSTRUCTOR, THEY WON'T RIDE WITH YOU---SO, I SUGGEST "HEAT-CYCLING" ON A FAVORITE ROAD OR DOING IT THE FIRST SESSION ON WEDNESDAY. SEE YOU THERE, RICK |
Hey y'all,
I will not be able to do the track event and hope you all have a safe and fun time. Just finished two days at Road Atlanta and am surprised I did not totally turn into a puddle of sweat, although I sure came close. Cool suit is mandatory in weather like that--need to get one. Got my PCA solo/Group 3 sign-off on Sunday and will be laying low for a while to replenish the race budget. Cobra now won't start after I took distributor out to heli coil disti hold down clamp. ALWAYS something. Rick Brownyard, I need you to hold down fort and show these guys what a 944 can do. |
