How about it Keith? Almost done with your car? That due date is quickly approaching, so how about an update!:D

Hey Dave!

Never fear! Excelguru is here!

The car is now painted and ready for me to come get it. I have a trailer and truck ready and will be making the trip tomorrow to Jodeco Auto Body in McDonough, GA where Bruce Bunn has completed the solid red paint job (Ford color code E4). He quoted me a lead-time of 4 to 5 weeks. As of today, the car has been there exactly four weeks. Now that's what I call service!

I'm totally stoked about picking it up. I'm actually taking the bare chassis there and plan to mount the body to the chassis for the ride home (it's not difficult for a Unique). So the car will appear mostly complete to bystanders. If my pipes are ready, I'll bolt them on also (I'll take all this stuff back off when it gets home). I'll be making the trip with an open trailer this time , so I'm expecting a little bit of attention. :3DSMILE:

I'll post again Friday to fill you guys in about the trip and the paint job. Most likely photos won't be available until Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Have you acquired all the necessary parts to finish it all up? If you have... then it's a sprint to the finish!

I haven't bought all the extra parts yet, but I have bought some of them. And I've tracked down the rest of them, so I know where to get them at the best price and at a moment's notice. It certainly helps that I have a friend at the local NAPA store. :D
