Two ghost stripes would be nice. We had 2 all red Cobras at Cobra Bash.

Man, I have to run to GA this weekend. That means I lose a whole weekend of valuable wrench-turning time!
Mike - Are you gonna be around Saturday morning or perhaps noon-ish? I need to see the back side of your dash to see how the Smith's tachometer is wired. My wiring instructions are printed for Stewart-Warners, I believe, and the Smith's is a little different. All the other gauges were a cinch and took no time at all. Things I've learned so far:

Keith,
I will send a message to you. |
Looks GREAT!
Keith - Congratulations to you - your car looks fantastic! Hope everything goes well for you in the final stages of your build-up.
This is the really FUN part - it actually LOOKS like a real car at this point. See you at SAAC-28 or DVSFIII ! Regards, Jeff |
Keith,
Soldering I can help you with, did a lot in the Elevator trade. Make sure you make all connections with the wires twisted together so they would conduct even if you didn't apply solder. Use a 60/40 rosin core solder and tin your soldering iron with the solder before you start. When the soldering iron gets dirty looking, while its hot wipe off that dirt with a cotton rag and re-tin if needed. If you keep it hot with the iron the solder will flow to that heat. Make sure it's hot and flows or you will get a cold solder joint that looks good until you pull on it and you see that the wires are not soldered. Hope this helps some. Dan |
