(sigh) Looks like ya'll had a nice turnout. Sorry I missed it. I was busy driving back to SC that day. Took the car out yesterday though. Warm and sunny. You've just gotta love these "Southern winters".

I got an idea for a neat set of strips. Use the non skid tape you put on boat trailer fenders. comes in a variety of colors and widths and probably is rock proof too:LOL::LOL: |

I not only have a SAWB button but also a Jessie Jackson for pres button. I have no idea where they came from but I have them. Didn't the SAWB come from the late Lewis Grizzard? |
Ga Snake,
Glad to see you guys are adding to the FIA ranks. Hope to get to the next meeting whenever that is so the FIA's can outshine the 427's. SAWB was coined by none other than our former mayor and ambassador Adrew Young. He may have been refering to Neal Boortz. Happy New Year Guys, DC |
I can't remember who Andy was referring to, but I don't think it was Boortz. It was back in '86 or '87 and it was SAWBs, so I think it was a group. I'll rack what few brain cells I have left, and get back to you.
Funny thing is Andy was good friends w/ my ex-inlaws(mother in law was his assistant, and he was the minister at my wedding), and I wore a black t-shirt w/ white SAWB letters on it to his office and he laughed his ass off. For a southern Democrate he was a very cool guy. Actual sex advice from Andrew Young: "Give your wife a back rub, 'cause you never know where the back stops." He was right, and I still use the move to this very day.:3DSMILE: Edit: Did a search and the only thing I found was the Young said that Mondale lost the '92 election because of the SAWB's that ran his(Mondale's) campaign. That doesn't sound like the right year or reason to me. |
