2 DSCCers, mayhem at Road Atlanta

Dave Crace and I had a BLAST at Road Atlanta this weekend playing with our "non-Cobras", even though saying it was chilly and breezy up there is an understatement. He had more fun than I, as my race car was still acting up on Saturday, engine was cutting in and out, on and off. Ended up being a cut fuel regulator wire under plastic cover arcing against fuel injection rail. This is why people still use carburetors!!! The reason why I have multiple toys is so I always have at least one that works!!! Pure luck we found it. DC was lapping the field by end of the weekend. He also was a "passenger" with me for a session and seemed to have survived!! ;) :p :D JW showed up as well to check it out. Congrat's on the good showing DC!! I also improved my lap times after having the latest PCA club race winner ride with me and give me some pointers.

TC
Are planning on coming down to Sebring next weekend for the PCA fling? I may drive up to check out a Trailex trailer.

TC still needs to submit his PCA racing license. We discussed it yesterday with Bob Gilsdorf.

Road Atlanta

TC,
Thanks for the good words, but you are the man. Has to be the most fun I have had in a car, amusement park whatever. TC took me for a ride in his race car at speed not long after I had breakfast. Lets just say going from 135 down to 60 at turn 10a is a moving experience :D Thanks to you and CarreraJon and all the other group 4 and 5 drivers who help teach us rookies how to drive. I hope to be filling up your mirrors before too long :)

Oh My God!@@$$# We have created another Monster!!!

Well we have a new driver in the fold!! DC was a Stellar Allstar this weekend at Road Atlanta! We had a ball and are very happy to have another new guy to have fun with!

TC and "Kerry the Guru" finally tracked down the aggrivating electrical gremlin that had been giving him fits for so long! Talk about hiden up and out of the way!!! Ouch!!

Of course now I am in REAL TROUBLE!! Even with DC aboard and me solo, he pulled the trigger out of turn 7 and fades away into the distance!!! This is not good!!!!

Great fun and would love to have more of the Cobra guys out there and perhaps we can get a little more experience with these monsters that we own!!

Come on out sometime even if only to see what goes on!!

Damn!! now I have to find something else on Mikes car to sabatoge!!!!

TC, DC, CJ, et al, congrats on your making it through another track weekend. I hope to share a track with you boys soon. I have Roebling Road again this year July 1 and 2 so if nothing comes up sooner, we have that to look forward to.
I feel confident that I can make DC hurl into turn 1, or at least make him tap his foot on the floor boards, if only 'cause I have bad vision and poor depth perception.
There, I've said it.

DC,

As I said at the track, "Twas a year ago today I was in your shoes" JW can confirm the mayhem I have caused :) :)

It's all upstairs!

ToyCollector 01-29-2003 07:43 PM

JW, I want your bad vision. At least now I know why you brake so LATE. "Marker?, what marker?... I saw {fill in favorite religious figure} and then I hit the pedal!!"
