New Barber Motorsports Track

Located just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. FIA certified. Looks like a great place for a DSCC rally.

Lee,

If the Barbermotorsports pays for the insurance as part of your fees to play on their track then and only then could the DSCC play on their track as the guys do at Gainsville. As a club with out dues we can't even think of buying any type track insurance for a small portion of the guys who like to run at the tracks.

When someone sets up a track day event there, count me in.

The track rents for 10,000 per day and that does not include insurance.

Folks, this track is interesting and may be a good place to learn the limits of self and Cobra. Track is young and I will reserve judgement until I drive it--initial take is it was not designed for high HP cars.....Having ridden some bikes some tracks, it is actually a purrfect bike track.

Maybe Spyderman can give his assessment based on what we saw today. We saw Winston Cup cars run an HSR event and they were down to 20 mph in a chicane....
