What are the rules on spectators at these races?

The "offical" rule is no spectators. If you want to attend you must sign a waiver stating you are not a spectator and you sign away all the track's liability. The DSCC also has a waiver that says the same thing. Offically you can attend as a pit crew or family member so you can work the corners or help in the pits. Working the corners can be fun as you get to see the cars handle and spin. |

I just got a call that I will not be able to attend in March due to work getting in the way of fun. I guess that is an excuse to make the Talledega event if it comes to pass. Ed I will get with you later to see how we need to handle the payment to the track. Maybe you could have everyone make the final payment out to Gainesville Raceway then pay the differance on your card or I can send you a blank check for the track. |

Sorry man, we are sold out. Jim Pomroy has Rubles vacant slot. Ruble, I'll collect the remainder of the track fees if any and send the checks to you. Send me a check for the track cost minus deposit and I'll take deal with the raceway. I'll contact all the racers and see if they can send you the rest of their track fees before the March event. Same ammount as last weekend.
I think we put down $250 just like we did in Feb. You have the copies of the contracts so figure out what we owe and "SHOW ME THE MONEY"! Ed |

Which Super 8 is across the street?? Is the $38 rate single or double and is it a special rate for club members?? I have no Cobra to drive yet but would like to come and get to know people and work the track if possible??

The Super 8 is the one on 40th St in Gainesville. Not sure of the exact address.... I have no idea of the rates these days. One of our Cobra guys stayed there in October and said the rooms were recently remodeled. Most of us are staying at the Hampton and will be hanging out in the parking lot most of the time. Look for us and join in the fun. Drivers meeting is at 9:00 on Friday night. Ed |

It's not looking good for me to attend the upcoming track day. I haven't been able to sort out my engine problem so far and I don't want to run it this way again. I'm afraid I'm going to fry a valve or something worse. I haven't heard from Larry W. yet, but I think he won't be coming this time either for the same reason he didn't make it last month, his wife has been having a bad problem with her back. Since I put up the deposit money for me and for Larry, I'd appreciate it if you could apply it toward the next event. Have fun & keep it on the pavement...!!! Mike :MECOOL: |
