March 23rd-28th in Daytona Beach, Florida?
Just booked a job for transporting some bikes down to Daytona after bike week (unfortunately no room for my own toys)...Going to lay over there for the week while my clients do the Daytona to Key West run and back.......What is there to do in the area?????Anyone got anything going on for a guy who will be toyless for the week?????Anyone know where I can park my 20 foot trailer safely for the week??????? Shows, parties, good places to go while I'm sitting in the rented condo????????

The DSCC will be running a track day in Gainsville on the 27th. Look down a few posts and you will find all the info you need. David. |
Bill - If you can come a few days earlier, there is the Spring car show at the Daytona Speedway March 19-21. It's a great show, 2500 cars at least, just about covers the entire infield of the Speedway. You might also want to visit the Don Garlits museum in Ocala, about a 90 minute ride from Daytona.

Will have to see what my schedule looks like....I'll be towing other peoples equipment behind me on the way down and back, so I have to be extra careful where else I go....Was hoping to stick around the Daytona area.............20+ hours of driving each way is going to play a major factor in any side trips........... Guess I'll have to bring a stck of books and sit by the pool looking at all the nubile young women, and wishing I was 22 years younger :D :D :D .........Then again, sounds like I'm going to be working on a certain someones Cobra while I'm down there......

Unfortunately, I most likely will not get down until the 22nd of march, as i have some last minute scheduled items up north. Wish I could make it down, as it has been some time since i've been on the Gainsville track..........Perhaps next time around............. Bill S. |
