Feb 21st Gainesville results/lap times

I know you have all been waiting to find out the result of the "Main Event" between Terry and I.
Well, to all my fans, I didn't let you down....
The biggest suprise was Rubles sudden charge to the front now that his snake is sporting some awesome Goodyear slicks!

I was unable to ramain Track "King" due to the spirited driving by Inman Lanier.
Those of us who know Inmans credentials know why he walked away as Februarys track champ.
Each driver had approx 25 laps, hear are the average lap times and the drivers fastest lap time.

Hey Ed one correction. I still run on 15" street tires. One of these days I will spring for another set of wheels and get some race rubber. But for now I will continue to slip and slide around the track as fast as I can.

Ed -
I couldn't make to this event. Is the average speed for all the laps run or the top five or what? If its the average of all the laps it would seem that one bad lap for any reason could distort the final standings.

The timig is an average of all the laps.
The intent is that you are timed just like in a race.
If you go "off course" you received a 5 second penalty for that lap.
Some laps had to be thrown out due to red flags or pauses in the action.

We tried to simulate where you would place if we were racing head to head out there.
The driver with the best average lap time would have come in first, second best average second, etc...

Knowing that you would get a 5 second penalty made one drive with a bit of caution....

I think everyone agreed this was the best method to determine the driver rankings at these events.

All the lap times are entered into a spread sheet and I need to transfer them to another format to post them.
I'll try to get this done soon.

I noticed you posted the order by the average times but the lists order would have been differant if you had used the fastest lap times. Ed, I'm going over our membership list and sending out emails, I could use your help. At the next outting please have everyone fill out a membership form and fill in all the blanks. I have no info on R. Meismer. Thanks in advance.
