Gainesville "aka The Swamp".
Well, we now know how this part of the country got it's name!
First of all, let me begin by uttering a huge "THANK YOU" to the DSCC members who made the long soggy trip to Gainesville this weekend. Especially Ruble Moore (16+ hours round trip), Manny Lopez, Terry Lee and Reg Dodd (West Palm Beach area) and all the other members who crossed our fingers hoping the weather would cooperate. Unfortunately, mother nature saw fit to continue the DSCC history of wet events. At 9:30 an already wet track got even wetter as the rains poured down and washed us out. At the least, we got to spend a few hours with good friends and had a great time despite the bad weather. I am going to see what dates are available to us to reschedule. Looking into a possible two day event (Sat-Sun). April 16-17th or May 21-22nd. I will let you all know in a few days. The new track dates will also be posted on our DSCC web site. Again, thanks to everyone. I promise dry weather for the April event. Ed |
It didn't rain in the Deeper South Cobra Club area but for the month of March our normally dry month has really been wet. Maybe the club should start to look for an inside track:LOL:
