Tom Gerber has offered to open his home for a Pig Roast with Cobras and Hot Rods, as the Hurricanes of last year put a stop to his first attempt. Where is this party going to happen and when, not our normal second Saturday of the month but Sunday September 4th starting around 3pm, this will give us some time to look at the cars in attendance before we dig into that pig.

Starting at I-75 & DANIELS PKWY in FORT MYERS go North on I-75 4.2 miles
Take exit #136/FL-884 onto COLONIAL BLVD toward LEHIGH ACRES - go 2.5 miles
COLONIAL BLVD becomes LEE BLVD - go 7.1 miles
Turn right on HOMESTEAD RD N - go 1.1 miles

Turn left on LEELAND HEIGHTS BLVD - go 2.0 miles
LEELAND HEIGHTS BLVD becomes JOEL BLVD - go 2.3 miles
Turn right on E 8TH ST - go 0.6 miles

Turn left on HAMILTON AVE - go 0.1 miles

I just asked Tom Gerber about two problems the possibility of rain and when he would have to have an RSVP on your attendance. I’m setting August 21 as our dead line date on giving notice on attendance; those that have responded are being added to the list in the post above. Since this is the rainy season Tom is thinking of renting a tent, which means rain or shine the Pig Roast is on for Sunday September 4th, 2005. I know that the dead line is 2½ months away but it would be nice to get responses now to see if you are actually reading your emails or reading these posts. Please, after reading this post give us your reply post here at clubcobra.

I am sorry to tell you I am going to postpone our Sept. Pig Roast. My wife
is still having the back problems from her accident last year and she is
scheduled to have back surgery in late August. I hope that we can do the Pig
Roast later in the year. I don't have everyone's email, so would you please
pass the message along to all the members.
