Hey pal, it's an Escort powered jalopy. :o
|
I think Jim has switched heros on us, he went form Lue Gigliotti to Spiderman. We can call him Spidy Jr.
Checks in the Mail. Hotel reservations complete lets have some fun. David, |
David,
Glad to know you will be joining us. Have a safe trip down. See you in October. Ed |
It will be good to see my friends again. In the mirror.
|
Jim,
It's best I be in your mirror cause if you were behind me I wont be able to see you. Cause your race car hasn't reached puberty yet. David, |
Don't worry about seeing me. That's one of the things they teach you. You'll know when I'm coming.
|
Jim,
I hope that contraption of yours has auto-pilot. I'd hate to see you scrape the paint on those nice blue and white Sebring walls. Other than the fear of being humiliated, will someone explain to me why Jim is afraid to drive his Cobra at a Cobra event? With both cars being the same (Backdraft Roadsters), this event would be a perfect venue to see which one of us had the better skills. Knowing this, Jim decided to leave his Cobra at home and drive his SCCA racer. I think we all know why. Ed |
I just put the fresh coat of Zonka brothers wax on the Cobra. I'm afraid that by taking it on the track it may get hit by some flying debris. That would create several hours of work re-applying the wax. I don't have that kind of time as I need to buff the inside of the gas tank to make it show worthy.
I'm not leaving the Cobra at home. It will be at the car show equipped with the appropriate carpeted and mirrored display to show of the spectacular undercarriage. You'll then know the full potential of my mad waxer skills.:3DSMILE: |
Jim,
I sit here in dismay. All the signs point to you turning in to a waxer. Seek help my freind there is hope. David, |

Ed,
What is the ninimum number of cars we can have? David, |
David,
We are looking for a minimum of 60 drivers to break even. The club also needs 3-4 vendors to help sponsor the event. To date, only Backdraft Racing has stepped up and supported the DSCC and the Reptile Roundup. Ed Thank you Reg! |
Entry Update?
Hey Eng. Ed.
"Broken Back Mountainman" checking in from NC. How is the registration shapping up? My attendance is looking slimmer and slimmer for this one. I wish my body was doing the same! Bottom line is I will have to pass on the RR this year, unless some miricle happens. We have been traveling all over the place all summer and I haven't accomplished much up here this year. I've even thought about hiring Randy to draw up my house plans    Carol keeps changing and adding things    Anyhow - have you established a cutoff date for registration before you have to cancel contract with Sebring? As Sept 1st is fast approaching I thought I would try to get this out on CC and maybe get some new interest going. Looks like most of the guys signed up are the same "old" Fla. guys with a really slim representation from Ga. Johann - I assumed you would be one of the first on the list and show up with the Atlanta Group - Maybe you only know your way around Roebling Road  What about the rest of the DSCC from the other states? Don't you guys have any interest in running one of the famous race tracks of our time????? Hell - you don't even have to join the DSCC to participate in this event. But then again, I don't know why you won't want to join our club - IT'S FREE, and you get first hand info on all the events, plus you get to share a common interest with some of the greatest people I know. SO HOW ABOUT IT YOU GUYS FROM Ga., Al., La., SC., NC., Tenn., Miss. This is an easy one day drive for any of you. **) **) TL :MECOOL: |
I'm busy that week, unfortunately. I wish I could come though. It sounds like a lot of fun. My favorite part is the parking lot party, so I'm going to buy a 12 pack and go to a Walmart parking lot by myself in your honor as a replica roundup !

When is it too late to get registered?
Still thinking about coming but my problem is getting a trailor to bring down the cobra. I'm in Jacksonville so not wanting to but 600 miles on it on the way down with no top available.....
Keith |
