This might be fun.
I don't know the particulars - license requirements, membership in SCCA, etc - but it sounds neat.

Looks like fun! A little risky, but fun.
I didn't see any gas stations along the way in the video  I'll bet the guy who has the house on the hill would just love to hear the roar of our Cobras coming up the mountain. I didn't see a helmet or gloves on the driver in the video- so my guess is the rules might be a little lax. Thanks for posting and letting us know. TL:MECOOL: |
That video looks like a demo run rather than a competition run (helmets and gloves) to me. It's a nice long course, but there are some very rough sections in the pavement. I'm not a good enough driver to run my Cobra all out on a course that narrow. I need a lot more run off room. .. Thanks for the link.

Tommy,
Good to hear from you! I agree, I need all the room I can get too. %/  %/ We could always try to do "The Tail of the Dragon" from Knoxville TN down to Fontana in NC, or go up from Fontana. A bunch of Cobras did it last fall - I missed out due to a bad magnetic pickup in my distributor. It is a big motorcycle cruise / run. Alot of other car clubs run it also. Carol and I did it in the Caddy last Aug. on our way up north. It is really a magnificent ride. Don't want to steal this thread anymore. TL:MECOOL: |
