I used the rf harness and was very happy with it, very easy to follow instructions and everthing fit where it was supposed to. I actually ended up butchering the harness to suit my own needs since the car was spec'd to be fuel injected then we changed to a carb after ordering so I didn't need about 1/2 the wiring and needed a couple things not there but still worked out great.

I have not used the RFWW harness, but I have installed the PAINLESS harnesses in various forms in various cars. I dont think they have a COBRA specific product, but the regular NON GM column harness or especially their 1965-66 mustang harness might be interesting alternative and get the job done.

Robert, glad you joined our group and welcome home. :D

Whatever harness you select, you will have issues. You must not allow frustration to over-come your objective.

Simply post your query here and see what everyone says.

:D :D

Got the Ron Francis harness today and after looking it over it seems easy enough. Lights, motor, a fan and a few gauges how hard could that be right. And most definitely behind schedule and way over budget...

Robert, It's pretty simple stuff. These cars are essentially go carts with lights. No door switches, e windows, no AC (mostly), no rear defrosters etc. I helped a friend do his FFR a year or two ago, and we used about a third of what was provided in the Painless harness. Painless was horrified that we removed much of the wiring and plugs, but where the heck are you going to hide enough wiring to fill a one gallon tub?
Enjoy the experience, take your time. There are a ton of great folks here who have built enough of these things if you get in a bind.
Cheers,
Richard Bailey
