South Florida members?

Now that better weather is right around the corner, I'm curious to know if there are any Cobra owners in South Florida that would be interested in getting together for an occasional breakfast and/or drive...

As soon as mine is back together I am in. I am having the body painted so I am looking like more toward Mid-Nov.

Hopefully by mid 2010 I'll have an ERA running in Tampa, FL...

On October 25,2009 the local Cobra owners of The Deeper South Cobra Club are going to meet at Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car Museum starting at 9am, stop by and join us as we are looking for Cobra owners who like to travel.

I'm down to meet with other south Florida Cobra owners.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Canada on the 25th, but any time aftert that will be good.

Hey, Ocho, are you coming to the Reptile Roundup in November??
There will be a ton of So Fl guys floating around.
Cheers,
Richard Bailey

It looks like this Sunday Morning will be our first Cold Day.. 62 Deg. WoW

There is a group of guys from Miami that drive down to Key Largo for Bloody Mary's and then on the way back stop at Alabama Jacks for lunch. This Sunday could be their first run of our so called winter.**)

We have a few guys getting together for Breakfast up in the Jupiter area on Sunday am, probably end up with six or seven cars. It'll be a good day for it.

I have 30-40 local Cobra owners on my email list and I couldn’t get together with that many of them even if I promised to buy breakfast. Today Saturday from 4-7pm we are going to the Muscle Car Museum for their monthly car show, Jim & I. With this cold front coming through starting today it might rain and spoil our plans for a Cobra outing, instead of 90 degrees it might only be 89 degrees for today’s high. Maybe some weekend we will have to take a longer trip and join you guys in Jupiter or Miami. Soon it should be Cobra weather and time to travel with the top down.

Chuck, now that the rain is about over we should start regular week end activity (Sunday's for me until College football is over) pretty soon. I am in Miami, down by UM, and just came in for an early am coffee run. As Blue Man said, a few of us run down to Key Largo in the am for a coffee (or bloody mary), and we have also run down to Key West for lunch and back - which is a real pretty drive. Send me a PM with a cell number if you want to join to group some morning. Welcome to South Florida - and get ready for the "winter" (dry season), for nice cobra weather. The Reptile Roundup would be a good event to attend if you have the time. I will be in Peru for the Roundup - seems I have a business trip scheduled every year now for Roundup. Saludos, Rick

Just got back from Canada (Man, it was cold there & only gonna get colder!!!)

I wanted to take the cobra out on Sunday morning before the Dolphin game, but I had to sit at home & wait for the luggage that American Airlines had left in Montreal (ended up getting it close to midnight!!)

The Mrs. is dying for a nice, extended drive in the cobra, we were planning on having some breakfast & then maybe going down to Key Biscayne & taking some pictures with the Miami skyline in the background.

Rickd 10-26-2009 02:11 PM

I've driven over to Key Biscayne for breakfast - I believe it's a la Carreta - on the right as you come into Key Biscayne. A lot of bike riders stop they before heading back across the causeway. A good place for a ride. Enjoy!!
