Spring Fling 2003
 

I am a new member so bear with me. I talked to Stephen at Cobra University and he told me about your Spring Fling and where it is located. Since I'm in Louisville,KY it's been kinda hard finding events that are for Cobra's only some where central to where I am. I would appreciate any information about the event etc.etc. I maybe too late a registration & booking a room. I guess I'll find out pretty soon. Thanks

You're not too late, I just booked a room at Hampton Inn, west, in Colunbus last week. They still have some rooms left for the fling. DV will jump in here and give you more info about the fling. Hope to see you there!

Do a search on Spring Fling or DVSFIII and you will find a bunch of information on this sight including itinerary, contact, etc. You can also look at DV's sight cobras.com. I think only last years information is posted but this years is coming soon.

Welcome Sir. You have just joined, willingly or not, the greatest family in the world!

You Sir are right on time to join the Fling. It is however a pre-requisite to know what the Fling is, how it got started, and what this big, world wide family is all about.

As Chris and Rick both indicated, go to www.cobras.com Granted it is last years event but the hotels are the same. (The only Hotel available at this time is the Hampton and not many rooms left there!)

Also take the time to read the history about the Fling. You will see this aint your normal car show! Oh ya, we show off, but not in a parking lot sitting around waxing tires. In fact if I catch anyone wiping anything more than bugs off the windshields I start yelling!

This is now a full three day event, with one event after the other taking place. Our goal is to keep and make this a family event. We want the wives, girlfriends, kids, grandparents and neighbors to attend.

You will show off, make money for "Jenny", entertain the public, and make more money for Jenny. You will never spend more than 4 or 5 hours at any one place. Except for sleeping and that is optional! You will have the opportunity to give the "Public" rides in your pride and joy. You will have the chance to put 10.000 to 20,000 miles on your odometer while only driving a couple of hundred miles :)

You will have the opportunity to hone your driving! Fast, faster, and slooow. Turning. Turning fast and turning slow. You will be able to lock the steering wheel straight ahead and test your ability to shift. You might even get the chance to have a fully uniformed Cop in your passanger seat and show him your "shifting ability!"

You will be fed top cuisine. You will be entertained by some of the best. You will meet the best darned people in the world. You will get to see almost every Cobra manufacturer there is, or at least almost every Cobra reproduction on the face of this good earth.

You will get to go on a 30 plus mile parade right through Columbus Ohio with FULL Police escort. Have you ever seen 200, 300 maybe 500 HUNDRED Cobras in one place? We saw over 237 last year and this year who knows! NO, we don't stop for no stinkin' red lghts either! This parade is so damned impressive, one almost wants to pull out of line, grab the video camera and get it all on tape!

You want an exclusive Cobra party? Fella, compared to the familys that come from Austrailia, England, Canada and every corner of this United States, You Sir, are in our back yard!

If you can't or don't make it, you will be missed!

I just booked a room at the hampton thanks to DV & Chris. I can't wait to get there. :D I am truly excited about get together with a bunch of motorheads to swap info and it's all for a great cause.
