Kids at the Spring Fling
Is anyone taking their kids to the Fling?
|
My response would be no. My wife's response would be yes since I am going.
|
Kids
Define the word "Kid"
Two of my sons are coming with. One is 24 the other 15. The twenty four year old want's to go. He went to the first Fling and he says he wouldn't miss it. Since big brother is not staying home the other one does not have a choice. Don't forget your cameras and Video cams! :D |
My youngest son, 13, would be heart broken if I didn't take him. Probably just the two of us because the wife isn't too intrested. Spring fling sounds like a blast. If I haven't found a Cobra by then it might be a good place to shop. Sounds like a blast either way.

Mr Bruce,
Hell yes, my wifes bringing ME!!!! |
B/Stock,
Bring the wife! And the kids for cryin' out loud! We have events planned for the wifes that aren't car nuts as well. Just don't let her have the check book and cancel the credit cards first! :) The DVSF IS for family's! DV...It's coming......... |
Da fling
Dv,
Rumor has it that the web site for Da Fling will be up soon. Any truth to this or is it all mearly speculation and nervous anticipation? I can tell Turk is getting a litle "antzy". :D |
Snake oil,
The rumor is true! It is true, it is true, it will be up soon, it will be up soon, click your heels together three times and repeat after me, IT WILL BE UP SOON! We're just getting Turk primed for this year! We don't want him to peak to soon! :) DV..Practice is over, it IS time for DVSF III ! |
MY 19 YEAR OLD WILL BE BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR. HE HAD A BLAST LAST YEAR.
ONE HUNDRED & TEN DAYS I NEED RAFFLE TICKET GOT TO HAVE RAFFLE TICKETS |
Well....my neice wants to go...and so does Mad Max...who's 2.5 years old..
and a CONFIRMED Cobraholic (Jim Weatherford and Jerry Goddard will attest---as will my Gallery!). If it gets too noisy for him, I can send him and his mom to friends who live in Clumz only a few miles away.... I have had contrasting input about taking a child that young---but if he's away from most of the running cars, he'll be okay. He cannot get enough of my (ex-Jaamo's) Cleveland barkin' away! We'll see.
I have a real beauty of a week, starting with DVSF III. The following Tuesday 6/24 is my wife's birthday and 6/25 is our wedding anniversary! Ack!:JEKYLHYDE If importing Max is too much or you experienced hands feel there are serious drawbacks, please lemm know. I also have to find out when the upstate New Yawk thing is happening.... Not to redirect the thread--but I have multi VCR and mini-tape cameras---I intend to shoot as much footage as possible. Be nice to interview a bunch of you car owners and families (then send it all to Jim Colman for editing! Ar-ar-ar!) So-o-o-o (to un-highjack the thread)......what's the youngest kidlet you guys have seen or taken to a Fling or similar event? What are the drawbacks to kids under (let's say 12)? If you have had Cobra experience with younger ones, I'd appreciate some heads-up... :D |
Unless my dad plans on leaving in the middle of the night without me, I'll be there. I'm 15 by the way.
Glenn PS The car moved under its own power a couple days ago. What a sweet sight it was. |
I'm bringing my two kids 9 and 11 years old (And wife). That's the only way I get to go.:JEKYLHYDE
|
If I get do manage to get there, my 14 year old (now 13) will be there with me. It's going to be SO cool hanging out with him and all the cool people.

Cobra parents with young kids:
Our Methodist church and the Presbyterian Church are both available to take care of your kids during the day. For anyone that wants a trust worthy baby-sitter for Friday night or what ever, just let me know in advance. We will and can arrange sitters for you. This is not a problem, we expect and want to do this. DV...it's crunch time! |
