Tom H. is putting in some unbelievable hours on the web site. Finally getting the OK from Credit Card Services, and Jenny's (local) bank, we now have found out that we have to do all the work for the encryption. We thought "that" would come from the banking industry! Since Tom is hosting the site, it appears he has to make the site compatible to accept credit cards. After just listening for a few minutes before getting totally lost, I now feel more secure than ever about using a credit card on line. Sheesh! What a nightmare of code. Now our projected "opening date" should be the middle of the week. A little Beta testing between now and Wednesday and hopefully turn it loose!. The Jenny Kirkham car is being prepared too! DV...this is going to be fun :) |
Sound great. Once the site is up I'll get Turk's visa number and order up a bunch of tickets :D

The hours are not so bad, but when I win the Kirkham, I want to be able to prove that it was legit!
Seriously, the #1 concern is the security of the credit card transactions over the Web. We're using "industrial strength" tools to protect the integrity of the DVSF community. The goal is to sleep well. OK, we're late. Those of you wrenching on your cars will appreciate that it always takes longer than you thought it would. ("Yes Dear, I'll be right there..." Not!) I also had to go to Detroit and had to set the DVSF site aside. DV said "No Raises!" this year, so I have to count on my "day job" for monetary support. The new goal is to finish the tests by this weekend. |
