Who is driving from So Cal or the Southwest?
I am driving to the fling from Ventura, CA in my SPF. Unless one of a number of very unlikely events take place. ie; hell freezing over and the like.
I haven't made definite plans as far as a route etc and am wondering if anyone out there wants to drive together. I am planning on stopping at the Grand Canyon but that is as specific as I have gotten at this point. |
hey Jimmy...GOOD for you ! looking forward to seeing you at DVSF. that will be quite a trip ! congrats on the adventurism.
nothing like a short cruise ...safe trip to ya. bill |
Hey Jim you can hook up with us AZCOBRAS(and a GT40) at Flagstaff Tues AM. Probably do your canyon thing first and come on down to Flag. Glad to have you along!

Hi Jim,
The Arizona group of six will leave Tuesday around 8AM from Phoenix. We will head up toward Holbrook and catch I-40 there around 11AM. If you would like to meet up with us we would be glad to have you along. The first rest stop past Holbrook going East is right on the State line. We could meet you there. I will have my cell phone . Shoot me an e mail and I will send it to you. This way you can call and let us know where you are and visa versa. Hersh:) |
Awesome trip.
Be safe, and come back to tell us all about it! |
Thanks Hersh
You have mail |
Now that would be something!
Have all the SoCal folks hook up with the AZ folks and then hook up with the Texas folks, so on and so forth. You could roll into Columbus 50+ strong!
When are you planning on getting in Hersh? Some one tell Randy Reseter to get off his duff and come to the Fling. It makes the Pavilion look like a warm up act! Rick |
somebody say gumball?
Sounds awesome! Me and Hersh took I-40 thru OK City and 44 up to St Louis then over on 70. We made it in 2 1/2 days both times. That should make us in there Thurs afternoon. Let's hear from the Texans on where to hook up.
|
That would be SO cool!
Map your route and expected times and put in a post by itself. Who knows who you will pick up! Sounds like the same route I took. That will take you through the Texas pan handle (Amarillo?)so there or maybe OK City might be a good place to catch up with the 'longhorns'. Your Spring Fling will be five days longer than everyone else, lucky dogs!
DV talks about the 48 mile parade through Columbus, how about a 1942 mile parade! I will be at the Hotels on Thursday to help with registration. We will have cold beer waiting! Everyone going to CobraX on Friday? To much fun! Rick |
