Raffle ticket online purchases.
I'm not having much luck at the moment.... Not only am I going to miss the best weekend of the year as I've mentioned previously, but I can't even seem to get my name in the draw for the Kirkham.
While trying to buy raffle tickets through DVSF.com, I find that I cannot proceed past the "Pre-receipt" page. When trying to finalise the transaction, this message appears: (98) This transaction cannot be accepted. Now Ken Miles and his #98 are good numbers, but not in this case. I've left it so late that my traveller's check won't make it in time. DV - any way that I can buy a ticket through your shop, and put my Credit Card details through your shop account (along with whatever merchant charges are incurred), or does that leave you open for adverse tax implications at the end of the financial year? Sorry for being difficult, as I know you have an enormous week in front of you - and that's even before everyone starts arriving!!! Good luck with everything. Craig |
DV -Ditto on Craigs' comment above. I too would like to purchase some reffel tickets!

Craig,Clois,
It's still NOT to late to jump on the big bird and buy your own :) Gonna really miss you guys tihs year. I think after the same old, typical downtown London Saturday event :) :) Friday night and Sunday are going to be something really, really special this year! Every day I fire up Jenny's little motor, just to break it in a little bit more :). It really is the seetest sounding small black I have ever heard. It shakes, it rattles, it blows flames out the headers, and THEN it starts! Ok, what was the question? Ahhh, raffle tickets. If you are having trouble getting them off the web site contact Tom at thachiya@fuse.net right away. IF for some reason he can't make it work for you, then simply tell me how many tickets you want and I will kick in the money and you can pay me back. OK? Everyone needs a chance at this totally incredible FIA! DV...I can't believe it's been a whole year! |
Got the internet contribution site to work. By the way check your email.

Hey DV-
I have a question for you about the logistics of the online raffle ticket sales. I bought my tickets on line and printed them out so I have hard copies. But, how do my stubs make it in the bin? Do you guys have hard tickets with corresponding numbers that you throw in the bin? Just curious. Thanks, Mike |

DV:
Just bought my tix today but when I tried to print out the tickets, a dialog box came up and said "after June 10- you could no longer print the tix". So, how do I know what my ticket numbers are? Thx, Bluedog |
Bluedog, check the e-mail for Tom above. Good question, and I don't know the answer.
Mike, YUP, exactly. Mrs DV is hand printing all the tickets off the internet so that all ticket stubbs are the same! The internet tickets fully match the actual hard tickets number for number. Thusly the tickets that have been sold directly and the web site tickets are identical. Except one of them has my name on it! :) DV..good luck people..it IS Fling week! |
Thanks DV. It is an incredible thing you do- I don't know where you find the energy. And please take good care of my new Kirkham until I am able to pick it up:p ;)

Bluedog,
I'm not sure where you're getting a "Cannot print after 6/10..." dialogue. You can print tickets at ANY time. Perhaps you are misunderstanding the opening "pop-up." There is a delay between the time you purchase a ticket and it is available for printing. (For example, the current message is "Raffle Tickets Updated to 6/16 @ 4p (EDT) ") This means that tickets purchased BEFORE this date are ready for printing. (This evening that date will advance to the 17th.) Hope that clears things up. I'll watch this thread for any additional questions. Regards, TomH |
