ERA #783 doing Two Laps at Sebring
I had my first experience with road racing at Sebring International Raceway last weekend with another cobra buddy. Not a lot of shifting as I am learning my lines, but it sure was a blast. I recommend watching on YouTube in full screen HD mode:

Mooch,
Great video! Does not seem like too long ago, you were posting build status, now 783 is on the track. The motor sounds great and really seems to pull nicely, what gear(s) were you in for most of the laps? Have fun! - Tim |
At the start of the video going into turn one I am in 5th, then I heel-toe into 4th at turn three. It stays in 4th until the straightaway on the second lap.
It was a learning experience to say the least. I've been doing autocross for the past year to get a feel for the car, and I highly recommend it to anybody thinking of tracking their car. If you look at the video, shortly after I pass the other cobra, I am at turn 10 going right and the back end starts to go out on me. Because I knew what that feels like from autocross, I was able to correct it quickly before it became a problem. |
