The Journey... and what's around the next corner
Folks:
For the third year in a row, my wife and I schlepped our ERA289 down to the NC Smoky Mountains to drive the Tail of the Dragon (and more). We stayed in a great B&B in Waynesville and drove the back roads, the ERA289 never missing a beat. So, to all of you out there working on your various projects with dreams of someday being able to drive and enjoy them, I'm here to tell you that the fantasy can become a reality. Peter and the gang at ERA have helped me (and many others) make it happen. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season (and now as winter sets in here in the NE, I'm back to garage to nudge the next project forward...) Jim PS: ...and I have always viewed a double yellow line as merely a stern warning. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...pictureid=9039 |

X 2 everything you said and cheers for the holidays too. Portante will have some retirement on all of us. |

I thought I was doing my share, but after looking at Jim's list of ERA's, I'm not sure that buying just one car qualifies  Happy Holidays everyone. Regards, Kevin |
X2 to Jim's post. Amazing cars and a truly great bunch of folks to work with at ERA.
I've trailered to Denver for five of the last six years to join their annual "Cruise Colorado" and it's well worth the trip. Six days of total immersion in the car and the countryside. This post takes a while to load because it's pretty long but will give you an idea of the fun people and places. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/mile...do-2012-a.html The driving season here in the Northwet (no a typo) is only about 3 1/2 months so I'm out every chance I get. Can't say enough good things about ERA and their cars. Like the bunny it just keeps going and going. For anyone in the process or thinking about it, the end result is more than worth any time and effort you spend. DonC |
Anyone here know when (and if) ERA is having their open house?
|
Don't know about the open house, but sounds like a great time wish I lived closer!
Another X2 to your comments Jim ... must be a lot of fun for you to go out to your garage and decide just which ERA are you going to exercise today :):) - Tim |
If anyone is prone to wandering around the back streets of New Britzky Friday the 21st along, say, about high noon, it would be a good time to find your way over to Dewey Street... and don't be late, the cannolis go fast.
Jim |
Wife and I are hoping to see you there Jim. Hope the world doesn't end before the cannolis do!
