Alternate battery location for FIA?

Took the car out today for it's annual inspection this am. Driving back it died rather suddenly. It appears the battery cable vibrated off the post, not something I can fix on the road easily. Got me thinking if there is an alternate battery location for the FIA. Anyone mount the battery anyplace but the passenger rear wheel well?
