ERA frame for sale???
In the for sale section there is an ERA 427 frame for sale. It looks like a pretty old one due to the square tubing used for the cross brace.
Where would someone get an ERA frame? Just curious, since ERA doesn't sell incomplete kits. John |
I was thinking this may be a wrecked/repaired car, so would probably need a new ERA body. Wonder what that would cost?

ERA has never to my knowledge ever sold just a frame. It would be interesting to know the chassis number. Peter might know the history of the chassis/car.

As I recall, there was an early wrecked body and partially damaged frame floating around for sale five or so years ago. They guy was selling it wrecked and piecing the car back together. About 1/2 of the body was salvageable, so if they sold the good clip, that would leave a frame. Who knows. Also, I don't remember exactly where I saw it online but someone had made a close copy of an ERA frame at one point but don't know if that materialized into a finished car. Hopefully Bob or Peter know the number on this frame for sale, if it has one - if its authentic.
