Delete - it was my computer that was blocking images.

Bob P -

I love the fit and finish of your dash. I may possibly modify mine. I saw a comp car at csxnifo and it looked like the tach was stuffed right down the center of the steering column. I am going to check for fit tomorrow (our guages are smaller)

I am working around

Water tmp => Tach => Oil psi

all centered on the steering column.

I would keep all other gages except possibly speed. I want black space between the dash and the console and the street dash fits that so well.

I would be getting rid of one of the console holes and putting fuel pressure gage in the other so the speedo may fit.

Does ERA do custom work?
Can a person purchase a finished dash (short gages) to their own layout?
A blank?

Fit & finish drive the question :)

if you made a new one, could we move the nut sert or perhaps replace it with 2 spread out?

Is the center panel only fixed by the rivets or it also fixed to the inner steel frame? If I drill out the rivets does the pane fall down?

Blank dash panel is on the way. Does anyone know how the door is assembled?

The steel frame is riveted to the inner panel, then the inner panel is bonded to the outer skin in a jig. Permanent...

Fill unused holes with fuel pressure and hour meter.

Please don't bring fuel to the cockpit-use antifreeze :)

Autometer used to (and may still) make a gauge that comes with AN line and runs from the fuel source to a supplied diaphragm (which stays underhood) then out of that to the gauge-the last leg runs A/F. Safe and accurate; no bouncy needle.
I had it years ago.
Oh and to further break your bullets; how about a plumbed fire system??- I'm sure you have one on the drawing board.

ERA2076 01-20-2014 05:14 PM

I've spent some time looking, but am nowhere near purchasing. It seems we continue to take apart rather than actually assembling anything.

It took me three years to build my 4 cyl Wrangler

Simplest damn thing ever -

I went with a Mallory pressure isolator.

ERA2076 01-21-2014 07:50 PM

I'm going to paint them flat black. You think that will help?

Your paint is the trick - x

Bob P - Thank you for the drawing.

DanEC 01-22-2014 10:29 AM

Oh man - ERAChase is going to give you an atta-boy for that.

ERA Chas 01-22-2014 11:23 AM

Atta - boy!!
Do the dash back too if you still can. Wipe your wires with thinner-you may need to see wire colors and stripes.
Your droplight will love you.
