Car and Driver from 1983

To think...paying 50-70K for a real Cobra at the time was not worth the extra bucks when you could have this:

ERA Cobra 427SC Archived Test – Review – Car and Driver

I remember that article when it was current in 1983.

ERAs cost a little more now, of course; the real thing costs a lot more. I ran across a used original in 1972 for sale for $7000. (which I didn't have, of course!); it seemed way overpriced for "just a used car" at that time.

Who knew?

Hi CS,
I also, passed on an original small block slabside in 1977 for an outrageous price of 20K. I knew they were going to take off, but, not like they have. Didn't have the money then or now. Love my ERA..............
