ERA 289 FIA-USRRC #2049 (New Owner)

Time for some pictures....since I sold #677 in 2013, I missed it ever since. Our ERA friend Troy Kruger knew I was on the hunt for one, and he found 2049 for me. He saw it at F40 Motorsports, where Wayne Carini had it for sale. Here are some pictures of the car. I also included a video that F40 sent me. Before the car was picked up, if you read the story, Wayne fulfilled a wheelchair-bound little boy's wish of driving in a Cobra, his favorite car. Not the best quality video, but you get the idea.

The only thing I plan on doing right now is to buy a new set of tires. Other than that, the engine detail will be my winter project.

It is a nice match next to my original '67 GT-350. I guess I 'm in a rut for certain colors ;)

I hope you like 2049. Curt Vogt and Paul at Cobra Automotive assessed the car for me prior to purchase. They said it was a really nice build....I agree and it is a pleasure to drive. Thanks again Troy.

Beautiful car, and hat's off to Wayne Carini---I've seen video of him providing a few rides to kids, kids that are dealing with more than many adults will ever have to.

Nice!

Glad you are now back in the saddle, or should I say "on the skin". Can't wait to see it next month.

Thanks everyone!

The GT-350 was put into a garage in 1984 it was found and pulled out in 2009. It's an Arizona car sold new from Paradise Ford. I grew up in Scottsdsle about 5 minutes from the dealership and about 10 min from the original owner. It was sold before I was born though ;)

A beautiful ERA looking very well kept. Most certainly a keeper, never to be sold.
