Source for wire wheel adapters

I would like to convert my ERA slabside to wire wheels. It currently has a spinner kidney bean alloys. I talked with Peter at ERA and he says they made some that they want to save for their builds.
There is a shop in England, but there has been a long delay in getting them to take my measurements and spec out an adapter. Does anyone have any other source to get adapters made so I can put 17" x 5" Dunlop wire wheels on my car? Dunlop only suggests the shop in a England.
Thanks in advance.

17" x 5" wire wheel?

It all depends on your wheel offset. The most available off-the-shelf adapter that fits our hubs is from an Austin Heally 3000. The offset is about 1/2" too far out for the original 6" wire wheel, which is why we don't use it. If you have a way to display a DXF file, I can send you my drawing - which is not dimensioned.

Correct Wire Wheel Size

I am sorry, my prior post was in error. I want to use Dunlop 15" x 6" with a 42mm center. I think I must have been in a daze when I sent the prior post!

DXF file

Strictlypersonl,

Please send me the file, and I can use a DXF viewer app to see it. Thanks!

Do you have an old set of Dunlop wheels? I've heard of fitment issues with current Rudge splines and old Rudge splines. Dayton makes a close copy of the well-laced 6" wheel and I'm told fits modern spline hubs better. Just something to check as you fit them.

adapters

Do you have a print of the adapters? If so, send it to me and I will see if we would want to make a set for you. pat@moldshop.net

Thanks

Thanks for the offer to try to machine some adapters for me, and thanks for the helpful DXF files. I am currently out of the country, but I return home this weekend. I will get back to both of you after I have had a chance to review everything.

DXF File for ERA hubs

Bob, Thanks for the two DXF files, it makes the adapter issue a lot clearer. Is the DXF file for the ERA Hub the adapter that would work with Dunlop wire wheels? If so, those are the adapters I need to have made. Please clarify what the adapter specifications and drawing in that ERA Hub file mean.
Thanks, Rich

Any proper machinist should understand the base metal specifications. For the threads, I typically give a sample for the machinist to duplicate.
