What a great question, I sold it in 2012. With the 17G folder on this Cobra containing 1,023 pictures I would have certainly thought I'd be able to find the part I used. Wish I knew. I remember it being a small company with a very limited number of SKU's. The picture I posted resembled it, pretty sure it's not the identical piece.

Spoke with Jim Coleman today, he said to take off the valve covers and then call him back. Everything you guys told me to do :) So perhaps this weekend I’ll do that.

I've got to think having the end supports, even though they are not bolted down, has got to be a big improvement over not having them.

Now there's what I wanted to know.
How does that offer any more structure rigidity?

On my T&D system, the outer rocker arm and the one next to it is supported by a single integral unit. Better explained with a picture.

This was a pretty good thread on end stands and several posts address that very issue: https://www.fordfe.com/end-stand-sup...ot-t90234.html

Seems like it kind of converts the single shear mounting of the end into a double shear version. Which is always beneficial, because it takes the flexing of the end away.

The end stands incorporate the end plate, so tying the assembly together as one.

End stands ARE bolted down.
They support the cantilevered part of the shaft.

It feels like dry oil if that makes sense. I'd really now like to replace the valve train with a nice new roller set-up or something more modern, like Ted's.

Yep, that's the problem.;) But that's really not too serious... and you needed a new rocker system anyway.:D

It’s going to Jim Coleman on Monday, likely a Harland Sharp roller setup.

all of those pushrods look mighty close to the intake, i would check each one for rub marks, you may need some intake massaging....an orifice enlarging mission

The very few of these system I saw had shims on the shafts to move the pushrods slightly to center them on the valves and in the holes.
As mentioned, keep a very close eye on those pushrods when mounting the new system.
Somebody working more on FEs can add more to this, which I am keen to learn about.
