Fan thermo switch part number

Can someone (hopefully Bob) tell me the part number of the fan thermo switch located in the lower radiator hose. Mine has apparently died. The fan works with the dash switch and also when I jumper the switch leads. I can't find it in the manual. Thanks

Section H of the manual has most of the interchange part numbers. If you download the PDF version of the manual, it's also easier to search.

Bob, My manual is Rev 1B, Nov '98 and only goes to Section F. Let me know how to download the latest PDF version for an FIA. Thanks

Those switches come in a wide variety of temperature when they switch on, in case you like to experiement a bit. Some have two settings (3 contacts). Your local store (NAPA??) should have them listed with temperature range.

Yes, the one I have was working well, coming on around 190 degr F, so I'll stick with that. I found replacements online at two different websites. They are made by a company called Wahler, and were used in VWs and Porsches for many years, maybe still are. Thanks
