ERA 289 FIA Brake Question

Hello,

I recently acquired ERA #2102 that has the upgraded 12.2" Wilwood brakes with 6 pin hubs. Currently the car has 17" Halibrands and I would like to switch over to 15" FIA wheels from Vintage.

For ERA's, the front wheel's backspacing will be machined to 3.8 inches. Question, will the 3.8" backspacing clear the larger Wilwood brakes?

Thanks,

John

Yes, the Superlite type caliper will clear with the original-style p.d. wheels.

I had 12.19" rotors and Wilwood Dynalite calipers on my Hurricane and they cleared the 15" Halibrand wheels just fine.

Wheels look great! An easy upgrade in originality from the previous wheels.
Nice looking car (similar to mine ;))

Enjoy!
