Horn Relay part number
Suspension and brakes passed my tech inspection
All fluids flushed except rear differential at this time No drips or leaks Brake light issue solved (funky LED's previously in all four corners, not enough draw to trigger the brake lights, back to HiPo 1157's for now) Tightened all loose bolts (expect for those rattling around in my head), just down to the horn, where I believe the relay has gone bad. From what I can see, the car currently has a Bosch 0332209138 relay installed. Is this the correct part number for the horn relay? Is this also the same part number for the other relay on the firewall to the right of the main harness grommet? Thanks in advance, Bill S. |
Never mind, found the updated schematics and part numbers :o

Two ERA Relay Trivia Points
1) The horn relay and the fan relay are both the same part. So, if you find you're out in the middle of nowhere and your fan relay burns out, you can still get home by just swapping in the horn relay.
2) When ERA mounts those relays to the firewall, they do it high up which makes it almost impossible to pull the relay straight up and out. So, in order to remove the relay you sometimes need to rotate both the relay and the relay base itself 90 degrees on the firewall and then pull the relay out sideways. That's your ERA relay trivia for today. |
That is definitely tight. Sorry. It will take a while for the change to take place, but I've modified my CAD drawing to move them down 1/4". That should help some. Eventually...

Now, about the missing screws (I have one on each side at the moment) on my convertible top "hook" on the side of the windscreen. Bill S. |

1 pair of them, and my new "proper Bosch" relays due in on Thursday and the FIA will be effectively have passed my rigorous "tech". Then I can work on the 289 roadsters center bracket, dash to windshield rattle, and be done with that car as well. Bill S. |
