Era rearend rotors

I am starting to build out my ERA rearend. I have the aluminum cage, billet hubs, calipers, diff, axles. I need the rotors. I think the later rotors are a 2 piece using wilwood rings and custom era hats. Is that true and does anyone have the part number for the rotor rings?

ERA optional rear end rotors are one piece. They look like modified Camaro or Corvette rotors off the same vintage car the rear calipers of from. I think that is late 90's Camaro.

The extent of the modifications looks like tig welding the lug holes shut; grind flat; then drill for 6 pins.

I would get them from Peter.

Thanks, if that is the case I can get rotor hats from wilwood that are not drilled yet and can drill them to the 6 pin pattern and then just get the rotor ring to match. O just need to know what rotor is used so I make sure the offset is correct on the hat.

Have you reach out to ERA for the answer to your question?

Sometimes it really is as simple as picking up the phone and calling during business hours.

That, or check your build manual, as ERA lists the parts required within.

I tried calling today but I guess they where out. I talk to Peter often when I have questions I was just seeing if anyone had the answer. The manual does not list the rotor for the era rearend. Thanks

Agreed; the manual doesn't list the rotor part number.

Please post when you get the answer. I am sure I will need rotors someday.

Just spoke with Peter and Bob and got the info I need. The rear rotors are from a c4 corvette 88-96 part number acdelco 177-685. They are redrilled to the correct 6 pin bolt pattern. Wilwood makes a 2 piece rotor for that application and they also sell blank hats that are the same dimensions. I am going to 3d print a jig and order the blank hats and correct rotor rings. This should make maintenance of the rotors in the future even easier because now I will be able to unbolt the rotor ring from the hat to remove instead of removing the hub. I will let you know how it turns out.

Be very careful. There is limited space between the back of the rotor and the hub carrier. We use special short drive pins in that position.

Thanks Bob, the rotors should be the same thickness and mount the same way as the stock rotors but I will make sure I keep an eye on that when I mount them. I sent you an email with another question I have. I got a set of the new cnc'd hub carriers and I think there are some differences in how they mount to the radius arms. Just wanting to confirm some stuff.

Thanks
