Clutch/Throwout Help
Hi Bob,
It's been a while, I hope you are well. I have a question on the set-up for the throwout arm on a Small Block Ford / Lakewood 15202. I bought the pivot bracket from you, the bracket holds the fork about 1" off of the bellhousing. I am using a diaphragm style pressure plate (Center Force Dual Friction.) Using that pivot bracket it looks like the fork is too far from the diaphragm, the bearing will not make contact with the diaphragm. I measuered from the rear inside face of the bell housing to the rear face of the diaphragm, it is 3 5/8". Should I have a different pivot bracket? Or, do I need a spacer? Or...? Thanks for your help. Greg |
Greg,
Yes, with some trans's you need a spacer. I'll send one. |
Bob,
Thanks very much. I am running a Richmond Gear 5 Speed. Greg |
