Tony,
If you want to meet SpecialK, why don't you come over to Vacaville this Saturday or Sunday. You can meet him and others as well.

Come prepared to get dirty. We are playing Midas Muffler this weekend. We are going to be building a few sets of side pipes that may very well be heard from where YOU live.

TURK
You are welcome to come buy and say hello to Kris.

Turk
Make sure Kris does a couple of "practice" welds first, before he gets going in your pipes. He gets a little nervous when people are watching him. Maybe you should have him do Pats car first.

Specialk 06-07-2002 01:41 PM

Tony, come on over to Turks house. We'll have all sorts of fun.

Turk, I practiced all day so I won't mess it all up again!

GUMBALL 06-07-2002 02:55 PM

Kris,

Next time you are in the Bay Area, let me know ahead of time. I would love for you to see the finished product and get your input on a few things. Very little to compare it with around these parts.

Regards,

John

ST,
You read my mind. Pat's car is indeed first.!
I too have been practicing. If all welds fail, The Master will kick in with the JB Weld. No one is better with that stuff than I.

John,
Come on down. You too are welcome. Santa Clara to Vacaville is what?...an hour?

Kris,
Get going. You have a plane to catch. If you want an easy flight don't tell them you know me!

Turk,

Unfortunately, I have a few things planned this weekend. Wish I had known a bit earlier as I might have done some juggling. Thank you for the invite nontheless.

Regards,

John

PS..... Email me your address and number should something fall through. Thanks.

Turk,

I have the outboard rear brakes, and I have the same condition.
The brake bias was O.K. according to the State of CT inspection testing machine, yet I also get a lot more dust on the back wheels.

Who knows, may be the state inspection machine is wrong...

I have yet to stand on the brakes hard enough to lock'em.
I can't bring myself to do it. I tried, but the car stops really quick.
May be after a few more miles.

Hello Turk,

Thanks for the invite, this weekend was out. My kids will be out of town the weekend of Fathers day so we moved the event up a weekend. Spent Saturday with the BACC breakfast then went to Blackhawk for the Ford Legends display. Sunday having my one day a year....Mothers Day one day a year....Kids days the 363 that are left.

They are going to spend days, weeks, months cleaning the male marks %/ ;) %/ ;) off of the GT-40 mannekin that was on display.

The GT-40 looks awesome, I called it a mannequin because there was no engine or transmission in the car. Fred Flintstone model, the engine was a plastic plug and the doors did not open. There is a real running prototype but, that car is in Dearborn. The model that was on display is the one that has been repainted several times in White, yellow, blue, red etc to make it look like there are more cars than really exist.

Nonetheless........I want one if there was ever a car that would pry my cold dead hands off of my Cobra, this is it. The press kit states that the car will be announced in 2003 for the Ford anniversary celebration. Approx price $120k......

Thanks

Tony,

Good to see you at the museum Saturday. I must agree with you regarding the GT40. That is the one car I would swap for the Cobra. Simply AWESOME! Thanks for the pliers and the safety wire install lesson too. Nice work!

Regards,

John

It looks like there will be at least a couple of Cobras up for sale in the Bay Area!.

Why don't you guys form a www.clubGT40 and the two of you can post and repond to each other's posts.

Turk,

We wouldn't even dream of starting a site unless YOU were involved. The site would be just too calm and peaceful without you.

Regards,

John
