Oil Cooler Line Hookup
 
Bob,

I am hooking up the oil cooler, but I am confused about which lines go to the sandwhich adapter on the oil filter housing. I am not using a remote oil filter.

From the drawings in the manual and on your website, it looks like the inlet is from the passenger side lines. However, on the adapter, if oriented with the holes pointed toward the front of the car, the inlet is on the driver's side of the car. There is an arrow pointing outward on the adapter on the passenger side hole.

Can I use the passenger side line for output, and the driver's side line for inlet? If not, the hoses would have to cross each other on the front of the adapter.

I'f you're not using a remote filter, the direction of the oil flow through the lines to the cooler makes no difference.

I'm curious about the sandwich adapter... Maybe they changed the brand on me without telling. %/

Thanks. I thought that was the case, but just wanted to be sure.

The adaptor was from Earl's.
