Driveshaft Question - Yokes and such..

Hi everyone!! I need edjumacated with regards to driveshafts and yokes.

If one had a T5 and a Jag rear, how would one fashion a drive shaft to connect the two?? Just thinking about yokes, drive shaft acquisition, and universals. What is typically used on an ERA??

Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Al - what you would do is to 'phone someone like Reco-prop (Dunstable), describe what you want and how much power you want to put through it. They will tell you how to measure the length required, then they make one for you!

If you need the output yoke for the gearbox, someone like Repower would supply it.

Easy-peasy.

Stop yoking my chain. :D (Sorry, couldn't resist). All kidding aside, you might try calling Bob Putnam because Bob may be able to give you the specs or ERA may even may have one in stock that they can sell you. It's worth a try.

If you download our free manual and add this illustration (with appropriate length mods), you will have yourself a driveshaft.

Thanks for the stellar response from all of you.

Bob, I've had the manual downloaded for some time now. I guess the coolness of this website got to me and I just wanted to talk to somebody. Thanks for the info. :D

Cheers, Mates!
