Era # 561
Looking for the owner of ERA # 561. Please reply, either here or by e-mail to earlsflyin@aol.com. I need color information. Thanks in advance, Earl
I did some searching and found that #561 is not the one I am looking for. 561 is listed elsewhere on this forum and is British Racing Green. The car I am looking for is found on carmemories.com and belonged to a guy named Carl and is image #1184 on that site...sorry for the confusion, Earl ALSO....THE ONE I AM LOOKING FOR WAS BUILT IN 2001, according to the post on carmemories.com......... |
ERA #561 is a BRG Street car, with undercar exhaust. It was For Sale here last year...
For Sale thread with pics |
Sorry Earl - fat fingers. :o
The car is #581 not #561. Remembered it while looking for reds when I picked my color - stuck in my head. Great color. http://www.erareplicas.com/cars/merrill/index.htm Sorry for the confusion. Jim |

ERA 581
Looking at the photo information from the photos on the ERA site I get the owner's name as Carl Merril. I too would like to know what the color is. I'm due to see Peter on Monday the 11th and I'll ask him for a contact method if no one finds out before then. Won't be back until Thur the 14th so I won't be able to post until then.

Earl, did you ever find out what colour red is on that car? I really would like to know!

#581
Just got back in from a visit with Peter and the ERA folks. Very pleasant experience. Lots of potenetial changes for my order.
Talked Peter out of Carl Merrill's address but a check with directory assistance turned up an unlisted number. I'll send him a snail mail tomorrow and ask him for the color. Going to bed now. DonC |
Thanks for keeping us posted Don. I suspect it's a House of Kolor style candy apple red but part of me is hoping that it's a more conventionally applied finish that can be sprayed by an "ordinary" body shop - which is all we have down here.

Hey Don! any news yet?
|
Not yet
Still no reply yet to the letter I sent him. Then again, I'm in Oregon and he's on the east coast so it could take a few more days. I mailed the letter to the address that Peter had for him last Saturday so it's been 7 days. If I don't get an answer back by the end of this week I'll take you up on your offer to try the back door.

Okay Don, thanks for the update. Where on the east coast is he supposed to be, what state??
Not in my state I hope.......The state of "Confusion"!!! |
