Maybe I'm thinking too much but when wiring in the MSD Didital6 plus, you are supposed to connect the #43 resistor wires together then connect the msd red wire and the tach output to #40 connections (original coil) this also eliminates the need for the white wire on the solenoid. My question is can I connect the tach out directly to the signal terminal on the tach,and the red wireon the msd directly to the ign switch disconnecting the green wire presently there, then I wouldn't have to worry about running a harness out the old coil connections. Thanks for any help. Charlie B

Charlie,

Yes, you can make the direct connections. We like to use the original harness wires to make it easy to "go back" if something should fail.

About half way down on this page shows the MSD harness that we make for in-house cars.
