? about Jag rear

The manual list the following years for the jag rear assembly, '64-74 XKE Series 1 and 2, and '65-87 xj6.

Is that truly the only years for the rear that you can use or is it more broad than that?

Thanks

SM

Never mind, just reading throught the threads and see that any inboard brake jag rear will work .

You do want to try and find one with limited slip. Open rears can be converted, but there is an obvious expense in doing so.

Not being familiar with jags, how would I know one with limited slip when I see it?

External markings on the differential back cover are not reliable. The best way to check is the standard "turn one axle while holding the other" method.

If you get one from an XJS it'll be a posi rear, either 3.08 or 3.31.
