Was looking at some pics. of an original 289 cobra and noticed the ignition switch looks just like the one in the various 65 Mustangs I have owned. Is it the same part number switch? Even the key looks familiar. The knob next to the clock also looks familiar from the Mustang, believe it to turn the lights on.

Check with 'Mustangs Unlimited' in Manchester,CT. The should have all that "original" information.

I wouldn't be surprised that some of the 289s had US Ford pieces.
