Emblem Tape...

Hi Bob,

I'm looking for the two sided tape that is used to stick the 427 emblem on my pent roof valve covers. Peter said to just get "servo tape". Well, having played in the RC arena years ago I though... no prolem. Now, there's at least 20 different types of servo tape. All I need is the high temp stuff to hold those emblems on.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank Johnson

I use 2 sided tape. Body shops us it to put emblems and body side mouldings on. I bet if you go to a body shop they would give you a piece.

Body Moulding Tape

I've checked the temps of the body moulding tape and have found that over a little time engine heat will cause it to let go.

Mine were afixed with JBweld. First clean the back of the emblem with alcohol and then clean the chromed pent roof with acetone or alcohol. Wipe dry. Apply a think coating of JB weld to the back of the emblem evenly and then press it in position. Clean any push out with alcohol. They have been on for many years without any problem.
