Smith Speedo
Bob,
I sent in a Smith Speedo for a repair about a month ago. I have been talking to Peter P. maybe he is busy but... Is there any Idea when I can get my speedo back? The speedo has 5K miles on it and it has been defective for a couple thousand miles now. Can ERA just warrenty it and send me a new one? |
Mike, I sent my speedo to Commerical Speedometer Service in West Sacramento, had a bad trip odometer. fixed in two days. if you can get your back, fixed or not. try them. ask for Greg

Thanks, At this point I have an epmty hole in my dash and my speedo in CT someware...

My Smiths reverse speedo is DOA too. After replacing everything including two sets of tail shaft gears and cable gears we found the speedo was binding up.

I also replaced my cable and my plastic gear in my transmission TWICE only to find out it was the Speedo all along... Bob, Any news on my speedo?? |
And I have been ask several times why i changed my smith gauges for Auto Meter gauges.

Smiths speedo & Tach
I have all Smith's gauges but had problems getting the Tach to work after I installed an MSD 6AL box. Took it to MO-MA in Albuquerque and they replaced the Smith's innards with VDO part and it works fine now. The lady that runs the place is a wizard on Smith's and old vintage instruments. She restores old MG gauges to look just like new as well as Rolls-Royce and others. Prices are good too.
