Missing 745 sequel-The missing owner
Folks:
First a car was missing; #745, but fortunately was located under a shrowd in a storage container behind the welding shop. Now the missing owner: When I stopped in last Saturday, Peter was frantic, because he had misplaced the paperwork somewhere on his Army issue supply sargent desk for a recently finished chassis and couldn't determine who it belonged to. In checking in with wizard of Oz today, he indicates that he found the paperwork and all is now calm in the Emerald City of New Britski. Just another day in the life... Jim |
The real #745?
Jim, .. wondering why I hadn't had a call back on the differential. Hopefully we can connect soon. I had a feeling it had been put back in the container to make space in the "pit" :D
Did your XKE start up yet? Is Peter going to do a 'sympathetic' restore? He was showing it to me last month. Cheers, Sam |
Sammy:
The work on my Jag has come to a screaching halt; LJ has been reassigned to more pressing duties: he is now acting as Peter's checker of the "to do" list, keeper of the time clock and luncheon companion. Less physical, but far more stressful he says. Jim PS: I've added some pictures to my photo gallery of the current scene at the ERA "R&D" shop. The place is packed and I am largely the culprit with three cars there. I am still advocating for a web-cam (such as is used on "This Old House") so that folks can check in and see the progress on their cars. Peter said that would be like watching paint dry. |
