Doors & Dash
Hi, looking at a couple of used ERA's right now. The one I looked at yesterday needed the drivers door to be adjusted, it dropped when i opened it. Is this a failryl common thing and easy to do? Alsl another one I looked at was great except I want the SC dash adn it had the street dash. I'm guessing the dash can be switched?
Thanks for your help. |
The door pivots on a steel pin that goes through some Oilite bushings in the stationary bracket. It's possible that the pin is loose in the door part (it's secured by set-screws) or the bushings are worn. A (very) little play is normal, so sometimes adjusting the door up to match the latch/catch is all that's necessary.
We can supply an SC dash that will replace your street-style one. It takes the same wiring harness. |
