Smaller Steering Wheel?
 
I would like to find a 14" steering wheel that will bolt on place of the standard 15" with the same looks, etc. I feel it might give me a little more room. Can anyone suggest where I might get one? I notice finishline as some, but just wondered if it would fit ok (same bolt pattern etc), or if there is another place I should look at?

I went from a 15" to a 16" and it made my cockpit "feel" more roomie. This may sound odd. However, the steering wheel isn't what limited room in my car. Yes, a bigger wheel requires slightly (very slightly) more contortions during ingress/egress. However, once you are in place, the wheel doesn't rub up against you. The smaller wheel made me feel more cramped though since it required me to squeeze my arms in a bit more toward the center. The bigger wheel was closer to being shoulder width apart and therefore allowed my arms to fall more naturally. To illustrate this, hold a large round serving dish like it was a steering wheel and twist it back and forth (like a steering wheel). Next try the exercise with a small saucer or salad plate.
