Trigo Wheel Offset
 
Anybody using Trigo wheels on an ERA FIA? I called Trigo and they said their FIA wheels have a front wheel offset of 3.650" and rear wheel offset of 3.750". I have Camaro front rotors and ERA standard rear end rotors (I'll have to use the Trigo adapter) with SSB Force 10 brakes and Goodyear Billboards. Any idea if this setup will work? What Trigo offset do you have? I did a search on here and found this to be the closest info, Bob posted this in 2004: "We machine about 0.4" from his (Lyn Park) standard setup, increasing the backspacing and narrowing the hub depth. Apparently we've already done a set like this but I was not privy to the process". Maybe it's easier and less complicated to go with PSE wheels?

I have the Trigo's your mentioning. I got mine directly from Lynn Park at the time. He was very knowledgeable and gave me more info about my car that I didn't know. I have the stock ERA set up and they seem to be perfect. Great product and better customer service. I picked up the Yoko's before they went out too. I haven't had it on the road yet but they look awesome. NO other wheel looks right on a FIA. Thanks, Matt.

I also have Trigos on my FIA. Told Lynn they were to be installed on an ERA FIA and he said that he knew the backspacing and would machine them for my car prior to shipping. I had him drop ship them to ERA after Trigo machined them. ERA had to take additional material off of them after they arrived. Apparently either Trigo doesn't really know what the backspacing should be or they machined them wrong. I was told by ERA that it wasn't the first time that had happened.

Hopefully, Trigo (post Lyn Park) is better organized now.

I measured the distance between the outside surface of the SSB caliper to the face of the rotor and came up with 5/16" (0.3125 inches) which is what ERA shows on their site for a GM caliper. ERA shows the Wildwood caliper to be 0.417 inches beyond the face of the rotor which requires a 3.88 inch wheel backspace. Trigo told me their front wheel backspace is 3.650 inches. Difference: 0.417 + 0.3125 = 0.7295 inches further back from rotor face. Does this mean the Trigo wheel with 3.650 inch backspace will fit without further machining? :)
