tires and wheels

Well as I am going to be allowed to work on my car after I finish my wifes 34 coupe---Today I bought a set of tires and wheels plus steering column and guages. Tires and wheels are 18 front and 12 x 19 rears to allow some bigger brakes----------

Jerry,
Who's LS block are you using? Also, not sure that E'brock and Dominator will clear the EM hood. (?)

Jerry Clayton 06-25-2010 05:31 PM

Right now the car has a WS6 pontiac/t56 in it but I'm rounding up parts for a drysumped 427---just right now I don't know if i'm going to do long strke/small bore or shorter stroke/large bore---the short stroke large bore is what I'm leaning toward for better valve flow numbers---also with the shorter stroke I can use more agressive acceleration than the long strke and run into the 8500-9500 rpm for top end stuff.

Also--My hood has the bigger scoop to get more air

thanks for asking

Jerry

8500+ in a Cobra would be a step on the wild side.
GM LS-X iron or Warhawk aluminum block? Not decided yet?

Jerry Clayton 06-25-2010 10:35 PM

It'll be a GM alum block--don't know yet if I'll get a LS 7 or do the Darton sleeve thingie in one of the LS laying around here

The GM LSx iron thing is very heavy as are the warhawks

Probably in the end sceme of things Callie crank will have the Honda bearing size---
